As I'm and currently writing up my media essay
and casually pulling my hair out. My piece is a 'star theory of Elvis in the 50s' so in my intro, I've compared him and Marylin. Whilst trying to think of other icons, one pops to mind. Bettie Page, now, keeping in mind she was a fetish model/queen of the pin ups. I don't think I can put it in my work, somehow.
I remember last year in pencil portrait I asked to draw a picture of Dita, (in clothes obviously) and the teacher looked shocked at I knew who she was... Really? So I don't think writing about Bettie would go down too well.
I'm babbling, apologies if anything is inaccurate, I'm not making any sense and its half one in the morning. I need my bed.
I must say, Bettie Page is one of my absolute favorite pin up models of all time. But I'm sure that's what most people think as well.
